 Wow! It really has been. I got pregnant with my first child at age 21 and have raised children consistently for the last 40 years. I've been pretty immersed in their lives, raising them, supporting them, helping them out whenever they needed a hand. In August, my son and his family moved 7 hours away, taking my grandchildren with him. I had raised my granddaughter for 9 years and now see her rarely. My youngest just left today for the mid-west them driving a truck, who knows where. My eldest is moving to South Carolina in a few months, leaving me with only my 21 year old grandson local. My head is spinning. This all happened so suddenly accenting all of the incredible and radical changes that have already been occurring in my life. I'm on vacation for the next week, then working only part-time for the next month, and I think I need the time to process everything.
The CD release was a lot of fun. I'm looking forward to lots more great gigs like that one. The venue was perfect and I had an amazing group of musicians backing me up. A video put together from the show will be up soon, so stay tuned ... Meanwhile, I'm working on another new song and continue to write memoirs. :-)
