Surviving winter

          Phew!  and what a winter it was here in the Northeast.  We had record breaking cold and plenty of snow.  At least we won't have to worry about a drought this summer.  i mostly enjoyed my time living in these Taconic Mountains, but the end of winter was tough.  We had a house fire, a roof leak (right over our bed) from an ice jam, my car broke down, and I've had to deal with a recurrence of a chronic illness,  I'm not complaining, though.  Thanks to friends, I found a great new mechanic, there was no major damage from the fire, the leak was only an inconvenience and my health is improving.  All in all, life is still great!
